The Best Reactions To Taylor Swift's New Album 'The Tortured Poets Department'
What a whirlwind past few years it's been for Taylor Swift. The Eras Tour made more money than some global economies, she started dating Travis Kelce — the Kansas City Chiefs won every game they needed to with her in attendance — and then she won several Grammy awards and announced her eleventh studio album "The Tortured Poets Department."
"TTPD" released at midnight, April 19, and then, two hours later, Swift released a second volume titled "The Anthology." The second part mostly contains B-sides, with even more clues for fans.
Even with appearances from Post Malone and Florence and The Machine on this record, and any potential odes to Kelce, fans were more concerned with how long this project turned out to be, and all of the jabs Swift's allegedly taken at her ex Matt Healy. The narrative's layered, but that's never stopped Swift fans from picking apart each and every line of hers over the past two decades since she's been releasing music. Here's how they reacted to this year's surprise double record.

lyrics can be poetry but she in particular is not a poet she’s a storyteller whose strength was always a certain directness who has turned to using a thesaurus and meandering lyrics to appeal to a new generation of fans

"Every lyric is recapped as a presumed confession, combed for autobiographical Easter eggs and compared, true crime Reddit-style, to the forensic files of her life and loves," @eekshecried writes.https://t.co/7gPq8LgYBo #TorturedPoetsDepartment
