The North American solar eclipse ran its course on Monday, April 8, 2024. A lot of jokes kicked things off earlier in the day, and then we enjoyed hours of footage from different cities going dark.
The next eclipse in America will likely be around 2033 for Alaskan residents, and 2044 or 2045, depending on what state you're in, for the rest. As for this one, here's what people around the continent saw, including footage of darkness falling upon Earth for a few seconds.
